The game is named "The Secret Gold of the Lutine" and takes place in the year 1799. The story is about a poor beachcomber who finds a small box containing three gold bars originating from the Lutine. He wants to use them to fight poverty on the island, but to do so, he must first get the gold bars off the island. By solving puzzles, answering questions, and searching in and around West-Terschelling along the way, a group (2 to 5 people per team) must try to discover the secret location where the gold bars need to go. This mission can be completed on foot in approximately 2 to a maximum of 2.5 hours.
The game can be played without supervision through an app on a smartphone at any time (you can only play this on Terschelling itself (West-Terschelling)). It is a very fun way to get acquainted with the history, stories, and sights of Terschelling, and West-Terschelling in particular. During the game, a clock counts down starting from 2.5 hours. Just like in an escape room, the mission is over when the time runs out. The secret location then remains a mystery.
You carry out this mission on West-Terschelling (the starting point is near the tourist office 'VVV Terschelling'). The code is valid only once. Ensure your smartphone is sufficiently charged. Minimum age is 10 years. Suitable for 2 to 5 people.
